    Early 20thC Southport beer bottles

    Hi John,
Please can you tell me whether there's much demand for a collection early 20thC glass beer bottles, embossed with the names of local Southport breweries/pubs?
I've seen plenty of similar collectable bottles listed on ebay - but I can't really be bothered with the hassle of packaging glassware to the extent that it can be safely posted to various locations.
Are there perhaps any local shops or auction houses that would be interested?

Hi. Glass bottles have always been collected. Especially with a town name on. From Milk to beer, wine to medicine bottles all collectable.

One thing I do know, a bottle with Bootle embossed on it are very scarce as a bottle with London embossed on it, there will be thousands.

But on the other hand how many people in Bootle want or collect Bootle bottles. as in London millions of people live so their is bound to be many collectors.

Pricing a bottle is a bit of Tommy the Guess or Billy the Lie.

There is a market in the Southport area for bottles. Condition is so important. Dug up from a Tip, the condition is normally very poor.

Call into the shop and let me see your items. All the best John Nolan. Phone 07714 32 22 52
