Value 18th Century Long Case carved 8 day clock

    Ian Burbridge
    hi,
    very dificult to value.
your longcase clock is very unusual, a bit dumpy, top heavy, ugly and at the present time not commercial. So an auction price would be £300 -£400. This is what a dealer would pay. 20 years ago £1200 - £1500.

    Insurance price £1200 today.

Retail price. It is working, 8 day, brass face all adds to its value. I am sure in places like The Cotswolds a Posh antique shop would ask £1900 - £2200.
    Good luck.
    John Nolan
