The club are pleased to announce that Bouwe Bosma has signed on an initial two-month loan from Coventry City.

The 6’4” tall midfielder had a one-month loan spell at Lewes FC recently where he impressed again after joining the Sky Blues from the Rooks originally in the summer following their promotion.

Bouwe makes the move back North, after also having spells at Eastbourne Borough and Peacehaven, as he continues his development away from the League One club, who have a track record of promoting young players with potential into their first team.

Born in Liverpool, the 22 year-old is of Dutch descent and is a powerful presence in the middle who is strong on the ball and can find the net when needed.

Unfortunately Bouwe won’t feature for the club at the weekend as he is already cup-tied after appearing in the FA Cup earlier this month for Lewes. He is available though to play in County Cup competitions as well as The FA Trophy for Southport FC, after permission was granted from his parent side.
