The emergency services were called to Waterloo Road at approximately 11.00 am today after a bus and a car collided at the junction of Lynton Drive.
All the passengers on the bus and the driver appeared to be fine. The driver of the car was badly shaken but walking. He was treated in an ambulance at the scene.

Low speed impact, everyone fine, one person badly shaken yet two ambulances in attendance. Oohmyneck Lawyers For U will be busy over the next couple of days methinks.
I just hope any men involved are careful when Googling 'whiplash'.

Would you rather no ambulances went, Then maybe some one elderly had a heart attack because of the stress?

Rather like the old Liverpool joke of an empty bus returning to depot being involved in a crash. By the time the police turned up, there was 60 people all suffering from whiplash.

For crying out aloud - have a word with yourself. If, maybe, perhaps - the ambulances are there for one reason and only one reason - someone involved in the incident has requested they attend in order to fund a bit of winter sun later this year.

My favourite Liverpool joke -
Went to a pub quiz in Liverpool but didn't know any of the answers so I just put the Beatles and Steven Gerrard for every question - came 2nd!

I'd imagine it's an automatic response when a bus is involved in a collision.

I would also imagine that at that time of day, most people on the bus would be the elderly, who are more likely to suffer from shock or if thrown off their seats, broken bones. This though also beggers the question what if. You have a mother with children on a bus that is involved in an RTC. Both are hurt. Both require hospital attention, but thanks to those who run the local NHS, mum would go to Southport, while the child would be taken to Ormskirk. Makes perfect sense doesn't it.

Whiplash, 10-11 pounds of head being thrown around on a neck, its not suprising it hurts and damages things.
From simple sprains to long lasting and severe damage wouldn't wish it on anyone.
