During this time I should like to take a moment to thank everyone personally and on behalf of Sefton Council who has either already, is about to embark upon or regularly maintains their Verandahs and fascia frontages that proudly adorn our Victorian Seaside Resort Town.

Very often the level of attention to detail and commitment that is invested into restoring maintaining these fine structures is overlooked, however I am continuously impressed at and grateful for the expert work being carried out to not only heighten, but preserve our proud local heritage which may be enjoyed and valued by people of all ages for future generations.

Barton who claims responsibility for securing the restoration of the Promenade lamp posts, when it had nothing to do with him. As confirmed by the council it was already part of a maintenance schedule and he played no part in it.

On the above pictures all's that has happened is he has been photographed with some workmen, and then posted on social media 🤔
