Lancashire Road Police have Tweeted how they caught a driver doing 100mph on the Longton bypass.
Driving at almost 100mph on the A59 Longton Bypass with a police car behind is never a good idea, especially over the brow of a hill with a junction just beyond. Driver reported.

A chap got caught doing 100mph on the coast road, when he was stopped he told the policeman that at least 2 cars and a motorbike had passed him and asked why he was the one that was stopped.
The policeman looked at him and asked "have you ever gone fishing Sir", the man said yes but what's that got to do with anything, the policeman said "did you ever catch all the fish?".
