Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust today excluded from work the Executive Medical Director.
The exclusion follows an independent review of culture at the Trust led by Prof Surinder Sharma, of Leicester University. The Trust commissioned the review following concerns raised by staff with Care Quality Commission inspectors.
The Executive Medical Director will remain excluded while an independently-led preliminary situational analysis takes place in line with the Trust policy.
Exclusion from work is not a disciplinary sanction but is a neutral action pending the completion of a preliminary situational analysis.
Richard Fraser, Chairman of the Trust, said: “The Trust expects the preliminary situational analysis to be completed promptly while, at the same time, ensuring the best interests of all parties are fairly served.
“I want to assure staff, patients, their families and the public that no aspect of the concerns raised relates to issues of patient care or safety.
“As this is an employment matter, there will be no further comment from the Trust while the preliminary situational analysis takes place.”
The Trust will confirm tomorrow (Tuesday) the interim Executive Medical Director and Responsible Officer arrangements.

Is this the same Trust?
According to Mr Hunt, the trust was the most improved in England between January and March for treating patients efficiently.
Lets hope he doesn't need treatment when he visits tomorrow!

Why is the statement scared to mention his name?
The Executive Medical Director in question is a Dr Rob Gillies

Yet another staff member gone for "culture" reasons with the hospital refusing to elaborate....

I wonder how many thousands (or millions) they'll waste this time on gardening leave and a drawn out process? Don't worry, it's only our money.

Southport and Ormskirk hospital NHS Trust again, is this some sort of club to join in the NHS to go on to gardening leave on full pay and put your feet up in northern England where, far from the capital, no one will notice except the local plebs.
We still have stitched lips from the hospital CEO regarding Parry and co which foot dragging has cost hundreds of thousands of hospital funds. Now this, we want answers now.
Time to ask some of the national investigative journalists to be requested to come here and kick some ***.

Here we go again!
We all know there's a hidden agenda to privatise the whole of Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust and that the Exec Directors have all been excluded for fighting it.....
