Man led to safety following kitchen fire in Southport.
Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire at flats on Promenade in Southport at 6.14pm on Friday, June 23.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 6.09pm and crews were alerted at 6.10pm. They were on scene at 6.14pm.
Two fire engines attended the incident and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a CO2 extinguisher to put the fire out.
Firefighters led a male occupant to safety. He was assessed at the scene by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
A quantity of food was severely damaged by fire. The kitchen and two further rooms at the property sustained smoke damage.
Firefighters remained at the scene for around 25 minutes.
