The large group of Travellers that took over the Kew Park and Ride have been evicted by the Police and Sefton Council officials.

A digger was used to remove the large concrete block that was across the entrance to the P&R to enable the Travellers to move out quickly.



The Police were there in force in case of any trouble.There will now be a lot of rubbish to clean up.

I bet the Police and Council made them take all the crap with them as well lol

This 'lot' have just cost us, council tax payers of Southport, a few Thousand.

And it looks like some have moved on to B&Q car park :(

The Police should seize their vehicles as proceeds of crime and use the money to cover the cleaning costs

Nice! But not likely. They will move on to seek the means to enrich their coffers at the expense of some unsuspecting vulnerable persons.

Once the site has been cleared up,put some immoveable concrete blocks in,at both the bridge,and the High Park side of the access roads,while the council decide what to do next with the site.To stop anymore unwelcome guests from getting onto the Park n Ride.

Make it a through road past the site to alleviate congestion outside Meols Cop school and Thatch pub junction.
The council could then lease the site to anyone respectable for many uses till they want to sell it.
It could bring in an income instead of being a drain and the tenant can look after it.
Sefton can't afford to leave it empty.

Great idea. But it WON'T HAPPEN!

Why do the Council not impound the caravans/Mobile homes until the perpetrators of the rubbish PAY for the clean-up?
