Several litter bins on Lord Street were sealed up by Sefton Council at the weekend.
People attending the Chilli Festival were left with nowhere to place their rubbish after purchasing food from the vendors.
Nobody from the Council was available to comment.

Have to admit Sefton have outfoxed me with that one temporary "event" bins could have been put beside them whilst these bins are rested.
Maybe they didn't do it, you kind of hope so.

Those "travellers" at Kew will be disappointed. Where are they supposed to get their food from?

Why was this?
Is it because the bins bottom couldn't take the heat?

Just look at the state of the floor there. And i don't mean the rubbish, I mean all the broken tiles/stones and sunken surface. It looks disgraceful.

Perhaps there haven't been enough fines issued for littering this month, so why not seal up the litter bins and draft in extra litter wardens.
