Station Road in Ainsdale is to be closed for up to 3 weeks at the railway crossing while Sefton Council make changes to the kerbs and bus stops.Local diversions will be in operation.

Bet the residents visiting the village are happy....NOT.......How many times are they going to keep opening and closing this crossing for repairs or maintenance? Seems they do work here 3-4 times a year,causing diversions,delays etc.
This is the year 2016,and Network Rail are still causing problems,they hardly ever had any problems,up until the removal of a manual gate operator when the old boxes by the crossings gates were used.

And this work couldn't have been done at the same time the crossing was closed for resurfacing. It's like BT digging up the road, then three weeks after they finish, the gas company doing it. Doesn't anybody talk to each other? Hell, I thought Sefton was to know when things like these happened.
