    A few items !!!

I have a few bts here john and would be grateful to beneft from your knowledge on them.

    1. Is a stone bottle which could have been used for alcohol? Oil?
Its made from stone and has been covered in some type of leather / skin?,,,looks to me to be quite old but not as old as it is made to look, possibly a continental peice belonging to a bar/restaurant or even a tourish item , spanish? It deffinatly has age to it though .

    2. The next item is an antique cheese dish , i am sure you have seen many like this and are not particularly valuable , i have sold these before around the £25-£30 mark, but i would like to know the age of the item, to me it looks around 1840's.

    3. The two plates are slipware , possibly romanian but i dont know much about them to be honest, if origonal they could date from c1830 if not they could date upto the 1920's.

Thanks john what do you think?

Hi nice to see you are still with us.

The bottle. Hard to say what country it is from

    worth under £20

The cheeses dish looks cheep and nasty. Has the look of Royal Stafford.

But would not be surprised if I held it to have come from somewhere like Spain.

    £5 - £10

    the plate looks European,

    terracotta, Fiance, Majolica look

The hanging place on the back gives it away as a tourist piece.

    worth a fiver.

    good hunting mate.

By the way.........I have just bought the best piece of carved oak furniture I have ever owned.
