I am so anxious & excited! I want to see them now! Can you offer any clues to what hey may be? Yes, I am sure your reply will be "the best things comes to those who wait".

Thank you Vanny again for this experience!

IT IS NOT WISE FOR A BLIND MAN , RIDING A BLIND HORSE TO APPROACH THE EDGE OF A DEEP POND.

SHOULD BE A GOOD LEARNING EXPERIENCE THOUGH AS A BUSINESS THAT MAKES NOTHING BUT MONEY IS A POOR BUSINESS.

(I'M EVEN STARTING TO SOUND LIKE JOHN)

    . . . Interesting perspective.

Vanny, you are right I am so excited to see what masterpieces you have unearthed with your 40 years in the trade!

It should be so very interesting what you have purchased I am in your hands as they say.

    "Up the creek".

Is that a clue . . . are these maritime oil paintings if so bring them on and I am sure they will sail away at auction!

I'm excited too--even made a bet with myself, right against left; right side wins, I give myself an extra bar of chocolate--left side I have to do 30 minutes of exercises!

Now in place all six paintings Sir.

A bit of a twist though.

I bought about 15 pictures in all.

but one of painting, a water colour looked too good to be in the odd Lot.. On examining the painting I came to the conclusion that it was the best water colour I had ever seen. In fact I will stuck my neck out and say it was the best ever water colour painted in England.

    WHAT A STATEMENT TO MAKE.
    well I have made it

I rang The Head Over Pictures at Bonhams to get his opinion.....................

Made an appointment and he came over from Chester. He also agreed with my opinion.
He took a photograph of the painting and email it to his colleagues in London.

They where so excited they want to put it in there London January 2011 New Year opening Sale and done a special deal on the commission.

    back to advanced

My 15 pictures including the watercolour have cost me £600

The saga will carry on tomorrow same time same place.

    Congratulations Vanny!

I too have a interesting story.

I have purchased a copy of "The Haywain" originally painted by John Constable, apparently it is a very good copy, one of the best I have seen.

    Purchase price : £124 inc. p&p

    Guide Price : £700 - £1,000

Next was a dog oil painting I purchased.

    Purchase price : £220 inc. p&p

Guide price (On arrival and sight of oil painting) : £600 - £800.

Also, I have a few more coming over from another auction house, one looks very interesting and the other looks a nice earner.

Also, I am considering purchasing a oil painting attributed to Sir Peter Lely. If purchased at the right price there may be a considerable amount of profit!

This is turning out to be a good month so far for all of us!

Can I just ask when will the youtube video be up, or when will I be able to see the paintings that you have purchased?

You can upload them to here if you wanted to right?

    What a coincidence.

The water colour I have been posting about was painted by an artist who at the age of 17 copied John Constable before becoming a RA artist.

Tomorrow I will try and post the photograph.

    The tension mounts
