Marcus Rashford
Respect for Marcus , hes stated that he will fight child hunger anywhere, after the mayor of London disclosed that he was a liverpool supporter.

He is. His parents must be very proud. He was raised well.
It's a disgrace that kids go hungry at all, but a high profile figure such as Rashford might make the powers that be at least take a look at the situation and see if something can be done.
Lovely lad.

Yes, Toddles it's a national disgrace, and let's hope the powers that be sit up and take notice. No one should be going hungry. We are putting immigrants in hotels and we have children going hungry, and there are people sleeping in shop doorways . I have a friend who is a senior police officer and some of the stuff he tells me is horrendous . The government need to sort it .

I agree.
Until now we've been a country that can afford to sort out all of those situations, both to resolve the issues of child poverty and homelessness, and to welcome genuine asylum seekers and refugees.
It particularly disturbs me when there is such a high number of ex-servicemen and women on the streets. Given that they are most likely to be suffering from mental illnesses along with financial difficulties, it feels like they've been used and spit out. Disgraceful.
Unfortunately, child poverty is just going to grow under our current circumstances. Along with more homelessness, with jobs lost. We're living through a crisis that might have been anticipated to a degree in terms of health, but the financial burden of a pandemic will hit even the richest countries, such as ours, like a hammer blow. I wouldn't know where to begin to prioritise, but my gut instinct would be to look after kids in poverty.

Nonsense, if he'd been raised properly he'd be an Evertonian!

When Rashford's campaign first hit the news, the Sky News resident dinosaur, Adam Boulton, had to be told who he was.
