And most fossils were laid down and buried way back long before humans evolved, when the world was warmer and sealevels were higher.....If you want flooding out and to live in a warmer world with its associated extreme weather, then go ahead and put that fossil CO2 back into the atmosphere!

Myself, I only use timber product that comes from a sustainable source......I.e., the source plantation always has around the same standing tonnage of timber, which means no additional CO2 is added to the #climate change equation.

Whereas fracking liberates additional CO2 into the #climate change equation......Simple algebra, work it out for yourself!

We all know that burning fossil fuels is releasing carbon that has been trapped for probably millions of years, but your wood burning is doing exactly the same on a much quicker time scale.

Don’t care how you try to put your case, burning wood is not carbon neutral.

In November 2019 the government announced "an indefinite suspension" to fracking, after a report by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) said it was not possible to predict the probability or size of tremors caused by the practice.
The planet’s messed up enough as it is without going back down this route again. And anyway, Johnson’s promised us the lights won’t be going out this winter and we can meet our demand.

You reckon? No government can be prepared for every eventuality, but some of what has occurred was well forecast long ago, some certainly not expected, however the measure of any government is how they deal with all events.

This government has been an abject failure on many counts.
