Just watching the BBC News and they are putting all of the blame on the shortage of HGV drivers.
Last Thursday around 6 forecourts ran out of fuel, the media then put this out as a major issue, which of course it now is.
The crisis has been caused by
a) The way it’s been reported by the media (shows how much the media can control us)
b) The mentally of the public, as we’ve seen in the past with toilet rolls, tinned food and pasta.
There may well be a shortage of drivers but it’s not the main factor, these drivers aren’t just HGV drivers they have have to have HazChem training and licenses as well.

I think the people realise that the Government is not in control, for weeks they've been saying we'll get the Army in but they haven't so now Flu jabs are postponed, the supermarket shelves are empty and the petrol stations closed.

The government wait until we sail into disaster, then do desperate u-turns.
They've been doing it since they got into office. They've done it again with offering visas to foreign drivers. They'll do it with kids in school soon.
Problem is, it's deadly. It costs lives. 150,000 and counting.
I'm also wondering how many tanker and artic drivers the army actually has in the country? They might have HGV drivers, but aren't tanker drivers even more specialised?
Also, presumably changing the HGV test requirements will mean that British HGV licenses are no longer valid in continental Europe?
Out of the frying pan, into another giant f-up.

This government has for too often been reactive rather than proactive and all too often slow and poorly reactive.
This just isn’t a question of whether to call in the army or anyone else for that matter, much more that many problems were well foreseen and warned of, but of course Johnson and Co just plough on regardless, moving from one problem to another, without solving anything.
This idea of hoping drivers from the EU will magically appear to work away from home on temporary contracts is fanciful at best.

I suppose other media headlines like the one below haven't helped either:
We ran out of diesel around 10am this morning and U/L at 2pm, we have a delivery booked for tomorrow morning.
From our perspective there is clearly no issue in supply or delivery.

Just imagine BP and others had huge stocks of old unleaded petrol which they had to get rid of before the new E10 rules fully kick in, how could they create a massive surge in demand to deal with that?

Looks like the army are going to possibly get involved with fuel tanker deliveries now.
Tabloid wet dream is seeing the army on the streets.
Then we'll have a picture of fat Boris in an army uniform driving a truck to show us how it's done. UK - The North Korea of Europe.

The change was due to E5 fuel (i.e. five per cent bio) being changed to E10 (10 per cent bio); the switchover would have been quite smoothly done.

To nullify your argument, Tesco Kew and Morrison's have had deliveries today.
The fuel "crisis" is almost 100 per cent down to the selfish behaviour of many motorists - there was no problem obtaining fuel before the start of Friday's disgraceful behaviour by many of them.

I wasn’t presenting an argument?
I was commenting on the equally sorry state of affairs regarding our tabloid press, government and the knob heads who are continuing with the panic buying of fuel.

You didn't mention the army then?
