Your history of posting BREXIT malarkey qualifies your posts as both dogmatic and either seriously confused, or as honest and trustworthy as PM Johnson.

"a good place to do business" is (as silver fox posted) an ambiguous platitude. You might refer to the handful of UK CEO interviews on PwC's web pages; if you do, you'll hear bland assertions of corporate virtue.

As you are similarly confused by the term "a good place to do business" as silver fox maybe you both should confine yourself to other topics.

I suppose if I had posted the UK is "a bad place to do business" you both would have relished it.

The question is as we have now left the EU and we aren't going back anytime soon, can you only see dark clouds misery and depression?

Are you both single and lonely or something or are others subject to your blinkered thinking ?

Oh dear, please tell me when I have ever denigrated UK success, sure I will and do decry, deluded, fantasy and meaningless comments, the problem is probably one of perception, you regard Brexit as an achievement, whereas I regard it as a retrograde step and have seen nothing to change my view, with this in mind, you then take any criticism of Brexit as criticism of the country, not sure how that works.

I'd give it ten years from the date we left, to the 'BRIE' (Britain in Europe) referendum....With a new Govt and Farage in his cups - if he's still with us - the outcome looks a certainty to me.

    Getting desperate are we?

Yes we have left the EU and there is no way of return on the terms we had, but I like many others are waiting for the very first glimmer of the glorious after Brexit life, currently see nothing but ongoing disputes, unnecessary interruptions and delays.

In spite of what you seem to think, would love to see the country return to stability, with well paid employment and services functioning normally
sure the pandemic leaves us with a legacy, but underlying that, the Brexit farce rumbles on, many issues unresolved, deals agreed suddenly not agreed, the "amazing" Brexit agreement no longer fit for purpose before it's even been fully implemented.

BREXIT was the proverbial pig in a poke. It was sold by Johnson, Farage and others. The promises ranged from hyperbolic to downright false.
I expect given your sensitivity to any contrary indications, that you localName: red fist icon.png
Views: 0
Size: 597 Bytes bought into the falsehoods hook, line & sinker.

You will post anything that appears to vindicate your gullibility. Interestingly, your scattergun defences seem to suggest that you do not have an authentic, personal point of view on BREXIT inasmuch as you'll post any angle that appears favourable; you do not mind that some of your defences are contrary to others.

As for the REMAIN sentiments posted on this forum, I'd say no one disputes REMAIN lost the referendum. What you perceive as " dark clouds misery and depression" are just posters comparing the reality of BREXIT with the overblown promises.

The illogical font strangler strikes again.

I post a good news survey story from a respected International firm that puts us at the top of the world in places to do business in and you try to twist it into a negative.

    Its actually quite sad.

    You write;

You will post anything that appears to vindicate your gullibility.

So here's your chance to shine with your fellow gloom mongers.

Tell me, tell us all how this survey does such a thing?

The short answer because your attention span is limited:
You posted an unspecific commentary which implies a small selection of UK CEOs felt modestly confident about the months ahead, supposing Covid's impact diminishes. It was NOT a reflection on the consequences of LEAVE!

It is the latest instance of your ongoing determination to vindicate your gullibility.

A detailed version, for the record:
    You localName: red fist icon.png
Views: 0
Size: 597 Bytes, had posted

    …alluding to:
    • UK overtakes China to become US CEOs’ favoured growth market, and has also become more important for CEOs worldwide
    • Record levels of confidence among CEOs globally, with UK CEOs especially optimistic - 82% of them believe global economic growth will improve over the next twelve months
    • 75% of UK CEOs plan headcount increases
The UK is now the number one market that US CEOs are looking to for growth, according to PwC’s 25th Annual CEO Survey. The survey of almost 4,500 CEOs in 89 countries, conducted in October and November 2021, also found the UK is a more important growth prospect to CEOs globally this year.
PwC is the brand under which the member firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited (PwCIL) operate and provide professional services.

Far from twisting anything into a negative, I observed that you will grasp at straws in your campaign to justify your BREXITy ideology.

PwC-UK (i.e. your link), did not post the aforesaid survey per se. What you had linked to was a peppy summary by a PwC Partner, Kevin Ellis, intended for the edification of readers of the PwC-UK web site.
We are not given a glimpse of the survey's content or methodology, but we are advised (if 'we' took the trouble to look) that it was conducted during the COP26 conference and just prior to the revelation of the Omicron variant of Covid.

There is nothing in this to cause anyone to alter their perceptions of BREXIT. It is just another example of ephemeral corporate hoo-ha.

Another rather vacuous waste of strangled fonts in a vain effort to undermine any good news for the UK and its economy.

How sad, just remember you and your fellow losers have set your stall out to denigrate ad infinitum, good luck

This afternoon lorry drivers organised themselves to publicise on social media the 17km queue of lorries on the M20.

This is because the paperwork now necessary to travel cross-channel has overhwhelmed the port of Dover.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-b1997993.html

You don't know much about this primarily because the traffic camera system on that piece of motorway has unfortunately developed a fault.

We cannot allow Brexit to throttle our economy for years.

Having travelled in/out of the UK at Harwich with a commercial vehicle in pre-membership days, I knew full-well what a pain the paperwork holdups for trucks were.....I even described the frustrating time-wasting experience of it on here, to the deluded one during the Brexit campaign.

Dreadful, all those EU companies held up trying to do business with one of their biggest customers delayed by poor performance.

Isn't it about time the EU got its act together or more likely Macron as with many other things.

Might I point out that the same problems are not at other entry points into the EU or are we not supposed to notice that and think it's all down to Brexit.

    Err no.
Other countries trading with the EU have had decades of experience.
Whereas we put ourselves in this disadvantageous position by choice.
Compounded by under-preparation and clear lying by Gove as to our readiness.
Square root of f all to do with Macron.

Another prediction of mine (and numerous others) becomes reality. I.e. LEAVERS blaming the EU for paperwork problems and delays at our ports post-leaving - duh!

N.B. Let's not lose sight of the fact that none of this would even be happening, had we remained!
