It strikes me as a little odd that the same people who are suggesting Durham police should re-investigate this non-story are completely silent about a rather more obvious lockdown breach in the very same county.
I'm old enough to remember de Pfeffel donating use of his garden at no 10 to allow his then adored Dominic Cummings to spin the most offensively transparent lies since Bunter stood up in the HoC and said.....well almost anything.
It's a funny old thing, politics...

It is when you don't understand it or how it works as Rodders so often demonstrates.
Why are all these lefties so fearful of an investigation?
There clearly hasn't been one of any substance when Rodney Starmer (the Leader of the Party) had an unnecessary party for 30 and hasn't even been interviewed.
It's clear they have already lied to the country or forgotten Angela was there
The food has changed from Pizza to Curry and even the local takeaway has been leaned on.
It's clear they lied to the country about what they were doing as even the Kardashians don't need thirty to make a zoom call to the party faithful.
Which could of course have been done at home.
Keir lied to the country about his hotel.
There is enough to warrant a look if they can get past the local Labour mafia.
They are supposed to be the government in waiting and have been leading the charge on so called partygate for months.
Surely they would welcome an investigation from someone independent to prove how clean they are.
What are they afraid of?
Why is Rodney Starmer and Sharon running scared ?
At least Boris the very imperfect one has put Sue Gray on it with her Labour Party Lawyer as well as the Police Enquiry.

I doubt Mail readers are bored of it. I doubt Guardian readers have been bored of Partygate revelations.

Even Nicola Sturgeon who was seen without the mask she ordered people to wear,
yet still carried on with her publicity shaving stunt with people openly flouting her rules must be wondering.
What should we call hers, Krankie-Gate.
As to Boris he's being investigated a lot so we can leave him to eat the cake he apparently didn't get, for now.
You appear to have been ahead of the curve with that opening post. Do you have access to special inside info and police contacts, the same as how bensherman does?

Apolitical policing.

So does the Telegraph - it appears a newspaper (and possibly CCHQ) were told about the reinvestigation before the people being investigated.
Apolitical policing "without fear or favour" - I certainly hope so, but this is from the constable who said Dominic Cummings was not investigated because of "his character".

I'm not sure it's so much Guardian readers with an interest in 'partygate' as those whose loved ones died alone. Those on that massive wall full of hearts and grief.
And those who feel empathy with them.
Or those who felt empathy for old Queenie sat all alone at her husband's funeral. Even I felt sorry for her that day. That's simple humanity. How many parties at Number 10 on the eve of Phil-the-Greek's funeral? Two?
I doubt they are affiliated to one particular political party or newspaper.
Beyond that I'd say everyone is fairly bored with these revelations. How many more parties could possibly be held inside Number 10? I think we'd all like the Met to get on with the fines, Sue Gray to release her report, and the guilty punished.
And if he's guilty, Starmer too.

I mentioned a newspaper, following on from your mention of one. I think people are more frustrated, than bored, with the length of time things are taking. I'd like to know how many parties took place inside Number 10, with its 100 rooms. I'd also like to know if there's something that Keir should be held account for, and if so, what he's got to say for himself.
Yes, I too felt sorry for the Queen. Didn't imagine a day would come when I said that.

If you know who Nazir Afzal is, then this is a very interesting tweet - interesting but not surprising.
