Lee Durkin was challenged today to take as many good photos as possible in just one hour in Southport town centre.
He took up the challenge, and he is like Anneka Rice with a Camera.
These are the chosen photos after he has finished filling his face with Mr Whippy.
Given the one hour timescale Lee did also say he didn't have time to cover any of the excellent parks in Southport or Pleasureland.
Here are the top picks as published on Southport Media
One does think he has a new camers and lense - briliant photos Lee Durkin

Lol - 'Day of the Triffids'? Taken around nine to ten a.m., going by the shadows. People don't really arrive from out of town till elevenish. And being a Sunday, many locals will be at home, absent from the scene.

Church clock says a quarter to eleven, town hall clock says quarter past and could the absence of people be due to no busses to bring them into town.

Since he had only one hour allowed and the clocks show him active well either side of 11am, he can't have started dead on the top of an hour, e.g. not at 10am or 11am. So, imo will most probably have started between 10.15 to 10.30. Of course, we have no way of knowing if it really was strictly limited to one hour - did he start at 10am and squeeze in a crafty extra ten mins or so?

Well ok with me being a super detective I reckon he ran like the wind or was on a bicycle if he started around 10.15 after his ice cream by the pier, the lake, silcocks and around there, then past the monument ( 10.30/35 ) up London st and left up to the church ( 10.45/50 ) then back along houghton street chapel street (11.00) east bank st then past the market then down past the Vincent to end at the old post office library clock.(11.10/15) .
That’s my guess . Hey but I could be wrong .
Hey maybe we could have him do this every week for Qlocal to go around taking photos of the town and all around the area in a set time on different modes of transport with clues and have a competition to see who can work out which way round he went, we could make it a weekly thing and he would have all week to plan a route .

Sounds like a plan, lol. Btw, knowing his apparent distaste for all things 'bike', I doubt you'll get him on one any time soon, even if he lives close nearby. My guess is he used a car to get to Eastbank St or wherever he left it, paid for 1 hours parking and did his little 'tour' on foot.
