Burning trees simply re-releases CO2 that was taken up by the trees from the atmosphere, so no net increase in atmospheric levels of CO2....Whereas CO2 from fracking wells is additional extra CO2, that was out of the equation underground.

Where do you think the CO2 in fossil fuels came from? Sure as hell it wasn’t the tooth fairy, according to your flawed argument burning fossil fuels only releases CO2 back into the atmosphere from where it came.
Certainly we know that releasing more and more pollutants into the atmosphere is not the way forward, but your obsession doesn’t help in any way.

Fossil-fuels are just that - fossils. And most fossils were laid down and buried way back long before humans evolved, when the world was warmer and sealevels were higher.....If you want flooding out and to live in a warmer world with its associated extreme weather, then go ahead and put that fossil CO2 back into the atmosphere!

So why are you burning bl00dy trees then ?
Dumping decades of Co2 in hours that took decades to collect.
Once burnt it's gone

Myself, I only use timber product that comes from a sustainable source......I.e., the source plantation always has around the same standing tonnage of timber, which means no additional CO2 is added to the #climate change equation.
Whereas fracking liberates additional CO2 into the #climate change equation......Simple algebra, work it out for yourself!

We all know that burning fossil fuels is releasing carbon that has been trapped for probably millions of years, but your wood burning is doing exactly the same on a much quicker time scale.
Don’t care how you try to put your case, burning wood is not carbon neutral.

The planet’s messed up enough as it is without going back down this route again. And anyway, Johnson’s promised us the lights won’t be going out this winter and we can meet our demand.
What could possibly go wrong?
What could go wrong? Well we could well have Labour in central Government as well as the disastrous Sefton Council.

Britain’s energy crisis has been years in the making, thanks to the Conservatives, also messed up Brexit, spectacularly messed up the handling of Covid. What next?

It's a novel idea to think that Bootle Labour would be representative of a Keir Starmer led Government.

Only a true eco-dunce could think burning the Co2 mops and replacing them with a twig is a good idea.
And just for good measure burning the mop releases pollution and huge amounts of yes you guessed it Co2.

Because we're all doing so brilliantly well with the Tories in central government?
Sure.

We're doing pretty well under the circumstances.

You reckon? No government can be prepared for every eventuality, but some of what has occurred was well forecast long ago, some certainly not expected, however the measure of any government is how they deal with all events.
This government has been an abject failure on many counts.
