Yes, of course. Might means the power to intervene, invade, topple governments …and 'set borders'. That Jewish people, or any people have a homeland is one thing. Expelling the preexisting Palestinian population from their homes and forcing them to submit to control by a state that denies them full rights of citizenship is something else altogether!

Your link Hamble omits much of the history of the Jewish community. As I am given to understand the Jewish community originated in Babylon. Israel is unpopular in the Arab World because it is seen as the pet of the USA who have been sending large donations of foreign aid to Israel and refuses to allow NATO to check what arms Israel is stocking whereas every other country has been checked. The Arabs do not trust the USA.

Like I said, it's a long story. But if you want to go back millennia, the first 'Zionists' were actually Egyptians, who invaded the area. They considered the place to be their 'promised land' - duh!

Fact is, the modern 'troubles' in Palestine/Israel, kicked off when boatload after boatload of would-be Zionists turned up, displacing the existing population against their will.

History repeats itself. Even the immigrants that have settled in UK are complaining that there are far too many immigrants coming into the UK.

Personally, I take people as I find them, no matter what colour or religion. I have some really lovely Jewish friends and have had for many years. I will never forget the day when I was on the beach with my mate and we were struggling to get a vehicle out of thick mud - a group of Jewish men, in their suits, black smart overcoats and polished shoes walked over to us and began to help to rock the car so it could find some grip, they were getting mud all over their smart clothes - not many would have done that.
We are allowed to openly discuss the history of various nations are we not? So without offence to anyone, why do we not discuss as to why in particular the Jewish people appear to be discriminated against by so many.
Is it because the Jewish people since very early times are very often concerned in money lending? The World over despises money lenders and tax collectors for that matter - it is the business that the Jewish people in particular were hired during King John's reign in the UK. It was one of the conditions that Jewish people were allowed in the country in the first place.

Our own town of Southport started to deteriorate when all the Jewish business people moved out - Jewellers, Tailors, shop owners etc., No-one can deny that.

But it was not just the UK from where the Jewish people were banished - why did the same thing occur from so many countries? There were no computers or phones then - so why did so many different nations all across the world pick on the same group of people?

Throughout history - there have been accounts of really vicious attacks on other people, murders, mass killings etc., but none against the Jewish people. So they were not banished because of that.

Nor do the Jewish people need to be treated as if they need protection - they are quite able to stand up for themselves as Israel has shown.
But this particular question has never been answered - why should the Jewish nation in particular be singled out? Is it to do with money, their religion, their pride? - surely this answer is necessary to stop all the rumours and discrimination for once and for all against the Jewish people? It is the secrecy that breeds distrust, do you not agree?
