On the 27th November Joe’s Giants will be holding a “night into the morning” walk to help end the stigma around mental health.

The Darkness into The Light walk is to represent that we can all enter a dark space, but there is always light at the “end of the tunnel”.

We also want to use this time to remember those we have lost this year.

The walk will start at 4am meeting at King’s Gardens, Southport, and we will take a 10 mile charity walk around the marine lake and surrounding areas. We will walk in guided groups, regathering to listen to speeches & soft music, for a moment of reflection. There will be mental health first aiders in attendance. If you feel unable to complete the full 10 miles then that’s completely understandable, we will have various entry and exit points throughout the walk with certificates awarded at the end of the charity event.

We are looking for a whole community response and encouragement of any individual or organisation that can help provide hope and happiness to our event to come forward.

We encourage fundraising for the event, or any donation made towards the event, and the cause, which will be most grateful. Fundraising for other charities or organisations is at that the participants discretion, but we do ask that if you choose to raise funds for another charity, a small contribution of £20 is donated to Joe’s Giants.

Any donation made £20 or above, will be accompanied by a Darkness Into The Light, Southport 2021 custom T-shirt. These will be printed in advance and received on the day of the event. Please get in touch with sizes prior to the event via our contact us page.

Alternatively, you can book onto this event completely free of charge using the ticket options on this webpage.
