The British Red Cross are calling for people to take part in the Liverpool Rock n Roll half marathon to raise money for numerous campaigns and causes across the world! It is an iconic run across Liverpool city infused with music – what better way to experience the home of Merseybeat?

In acknowledgement of the financially difficult times that many have experienced, British Red Cross charity places in the Liverpool Rock n Roll run are now FREE and there is a reduced individual fundraising target to £150. For groups of five, sign up will also be free and there is a massively reduced group fundraising target of £500.

The charity helps millions of people in the UK and around the world get the support they need if crisis strikes. We’re part of the Global Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, and we believe in the power of kindness.

Closer to home, across Merseyside we provide mobility aids to help people live independently after coming home from hospital, train people in vital first aid, and support vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers.

It's also helped those who have been quarantined at Arrowe Park hospital in the Wirral on Merseyside. Throughout their stay, they offered them emotional support by phone if needed, and our staff and volunteers made sure they received parcels from friends and family members.

Every step you take and every pound you raise will help fund this life-changing work in Merseyside.
