Friends of Southport Hard Talk over the weekend discussed psychics.
Southport Psychics Did Not See This Article Coming
Psychic Reading’s people who prey on emotions,
Now let me make this clear before I continue, I have researched the paranormal for over 30 years and can give many examples of what can be described as experiences that can not be explained or debunked or even logical, from the seven planes all the way to the power of the mind,
So many people believe in psychics, and it reminds me very much of religion, tapping into people's emotions, knowing that we all look for hope at some point in our life.
Every so-called psychic is proved to be a con artist in the long run and the technique they use is very easy and all use the same, But I would be stupid to ask how and why they get away with it, as I have already said they feed from the client; the client believes the moment they walk into the room of the said charlatan.
People looking for hope, a new beginning, what the future holds, to make contact with a lost parent, One thing I learnt from visiting hundreds of these charlatans is that I have not met one where I can clearly say wow that person knew a part of my life that no other person did.
Simple really as keywords are used from a broken relationship to an illness and then the killer punch the best sales technique in the book, your future, as after all we are all intrigued in what’s going to happen at a later date.
Now I fully understand I will gain some responses to this article such as I visited one, and they were so right, and it was impossible for them to know, I would have to say you wanted them to be right, remember most people who visit a Psychic are already searching for hope or an answer so in reality you’re an easy target.
You will notice that many of these comedians say things like I am getting a letter T maybe a Tom or a Terry, now come to think about it, they say they are getting contact but can never relay the full name, of course the reason for this is they are trying to prompt you and giving a cold reading hoping it's going to turn hot, looking online, we do have a few of these jokers in the local area, My question would be, have you been to see one, and what was your experience?
Please note, I have a sealed envelope here with my first girlfriend's name on, plus my father’s full name. And my pet dog that died and if any of these so-called clairvoyants or Psychics can give the names I will be happy to donate £10,000 to a charity of their choice.

So he admits to visiting hundreds of con artists.
How long did it take him to realise they were?

There is a group in Liverpool called Merseyside Skeptics.
They employ a researcher and some years back he dug into psychics.
In particular they homed in on Sally Morgan, who tours the country earning a fortune from big audiences. They studied the operation when she came to Southport...and noticed a gentleman hanging around in the bar on his own but overhearing conversations between people ready for the performance.
the show started and Ms Morgan did the usual " Is there someone here whose father called Terry has just passed..." type of stuff ...to great effect.
In the interval our friends turned on a radio jammer. The second half started but sadly after a few minutes Ms Morgan started feeling unwell...
The group identified that in the US there has been, for years, a prize of many thousands of dollars on offer to someone who can perform a set of psychic tasks. It offered Merseyside psychics that it would pay their expenses to go and try for the prize if they could perform some simple psychic tasks in Liverpool ( identifying playing cards, etc). About a dozen tried. None succeeded.
