Firefighters from Tarleton and Penwortham and Bamber Bridge were called to reports of a fire at a commercial premise on Meanygate in Hesketh Bank.
The caller reported a fire in an outbuilding and on arrival firefighters found the fire involved three outbuildings, approximately 10m by 10m. There was also a greenhouse used for storage well alight too.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control using a hose reel and three main jets. There was one horse led to safety prior to the arrival of firefighters at the scene that was tended to by a vet after suffering burns. Firefighters are currently still in attendance damping down and an investigation into the cause of the fire will soon be underway.
