Queenscourt Lottery has launched a new campaign to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.

This year, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.

‘Fly the Flag for Queenscourt’ will encourage supporters to enter the hospice’s weekly lottery draw and highlight how the initiative helps to #KeepQueenscourtinService.

Did you know that by joining Queenscourt lottery you are helping to provide Queenscourt Hospice with a regular, sustainable income which allows us to plan for the future – ensuring their specialist end of life care is available now and in the future.

On Saturday 11th of June 2022, Queenscourt will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Princess Diana officially opening the hospice.

Myra Myers is one of Queenscourt’s longest serving Volunteers who had the privilege of meeting Diana, Princess of Wales, when she officially opened the Hospice in 1992.

“She was lovely and came over to speak with us,” said Myra. “The atmosphere on that day was absolutely marvellous.”

She said: “I’m very fond of Queenscourt. I never thought any of my family would use it, but my husband Jeff passed away nine-years-ago and two years before that he went into Queenscourt for Day Therapy once a week which made a huge difference to him and to me.”

“Queenscourt Lottery is a fantastic way to donate to Queenscourt each week so that they can keep providing compassionate care to local people and their families – and you never know when you might win!”

As a small local charity with a big reach, Queenscourt receives less than a fifth of their running costs from the NHS and the rest of the money comes from charitable donations.

Queenscourt Hospice Lottery tickets cost £1 each and you can pre-pay for as many weeks as you like. You can also double or triple your chances of scooping the jackpot by paying £2 each week to play with two numbers or £3 each week to play with three numbers instead of one.
