    Who is James Oliver

    Welcome to our Fabulous Auction.

All the proceeds are to go to the James Oliver Fundraising.

James is a 9-year-old who was diagnosed with Osteoblast Osteosarcoma.

This is a primary bone cancer with only 36 people diagnosed with it last year. James has been undergoing treatment for his illness but unfortunately this treatment has failed.

All money raised will go towards ensuring James, and of course his six year old brother William have a fabulous time on their holiday doing all the things they would like to do.

First the antiqueman would like to thank SGB for asking him to participate in such a worth while cause.

It has been such great fun for him and I am sure going by the number of hits the threads have received good fun and interesting for the posters.

Obviously it is a sad time for James Oliver and his family and we all send our love to them.

    James died

vanman says: Sun 19th Apr 2009, 12:02 PM

    A lovely handsome kid

    an Evertonian

I had the privilege of meeting brave James and his family a few months ago when James signed the Black Book.

On behalf of all the sgb posters that helped raise and donate money for James and his favourite charity, we all send our condolences to the family.

James has abandoned his physical garment and has ascended to the spiritual world.

    May he rest in peace

I will never forget his smile

After returning from Cyprus on a buying trip my first job was to view my mail.

The first letter that caught my eye was blue envelope with John - Vanman written on it. I was sure this was not a bill so I opened it first.

To my ..................... I have no word to describe the feeling I had when I opened and read the card in side.

By the hand writing it had been obviously written by a child.

    To John
Thank you for very, very much !
for raising the money with me for favorite charity.

    from James Oliver.

James had written this to me just before he had died.

This is my 64th year on the planet and this if the most important letter I have ever received.

James has abandoned his physical garment and has ascended to the spiritual world.

    May he rest in peace

I will never forget his smile and now I will cherish my card.
